How to play
Board. Three concentric rings crossed by three lines through the centre: eighteen points on the rings plus the centre, nineteen in all.
Setup. Each player's nine pieces fill the three spokes on their side of the board, three per spoke. Only the centre is empty. Haldi opens.
The opening. The first move can only slide a piece into the empty centre. The second player must then leap over it, and the battle is on.
Moving. Slide one piece along a spoke or around a ring to an adjacent empty point.
Capturing. Leap over an adjacent enemy piece, along a spoke or around a ring, into the empty point directly beyond it; the leapt piece is removed. If a capture is available you must take one. A piece that can leap again from where it lands continues in the same turn.
Winning. Take all nine enemy pieces, or leave the opponent with no legal move. Fifty moves without a capture is a draw.
